She received\u00a0her Bachelor\u2019s degree from Elmhurst College and her Master\u2019s degree in Clinical Professional Psychology, with an emphasis on Child and Family Studies, from Roosevelt University.\u00a0 Demetra works with families to improve their ability to cope with difficult situations. Her specialties include: enhancing family relationships, parent education, behavior management, and raising children with special needs. Demetra\u2019s therapy approach is based on the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Mode.<\/p>\n<p>She has experience in a variety of settings helping children with complex medical issues.\u00a0 At Children\u2019s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Demetra was a Brown Family Life Center Assistant. She worked with patients to manage their anxiety and beliefs about their illness.\u00a0 She ran developmental playgrounds for children ages 4 to 11.
